An Australian soldier from Task Group Taji 8 inspects and clears an Iraqi Army (IA) soldier’s weapon before a School of Infantry NCO 2 (SINCO 2) led culminating activity at Taji Military Complex, Iraq, Jan. 20, 2019. The event was the final test for four IA battalions that have received 10 weeks’ training from the SINCO2 with oversight from Australian Army instructor assessors from Task Group Taji 8. The Coalition offers training programs include courses in areas as diverse as operational planning, counter-terrorism, logistics and sustainment, equipment maintenance, counter-IED techniques and law enforcement. The Iraqi Army School of Infantry NCO 2 recently achieved initial operating capability, meaning that the school can perform 75 percent of its operations without Coalition assistance.

CAMP TAJI, Iraq - يقوم جندي أسترالي من فريق المهام تاجي 8 بتفتيش سلاح جندي من الجيش العراقي للتأكد من خلوه من الذخيرة قبل البدء بحفل التخرج النهائي الذي تقيمه مدرسة المشاة الثانية لضباط الصف التابعة للجيش العراقي في معسكر التاجي، العراق، في 20 كانون الثاني 2019. إنّ هذا الحدث هو الإختبار الأخير لأربعة كتائب من الجيش العراقي والتي تلقت تدريباً لمدة 10 أسابيع من مدرسة المشاة الثانية لضباط الصف تحت إشراف مدربيين من الجيش الأسترالي من فريق المهام تاجي 8 يقومون بعملية التقييم. يقدم التحالف برامج تدريبية تشمل دورات في مجالات متنوعة مثل التخطيط التشغيلي ومكافحة الإرهاب واللوجستيات و الإستدامة وصيانة المعدات وتقنيات مكافحة العبوات الناسفة وإنفاذ القانون. لقد حقّقت مدرسة المشاة الثانية لضباط الصف التابعة للجيش العراقي مؤخراً القدرة التشغيلية الأولية، ممّا يعني أنّ المدرسة يمكنها أداء 75 بالمائة من مهامها دون الحاجة الى مساعدة التحالف An Australian soldier from Task Group Taji 8 inspects and clears an Iraqi Army (IA) soldier’s weapon before a School of Infantry NCO 2 (SINCO 2) led culminating activity at Taji Military Complex, Iraq, Jan. 20, 2019.
