France is a key player in terms of military action taken by
the Global Coalition to counter Da’esh both in Iraq and in Syria.
French military contributions to Combined Joint Task Force –
Operation Inherent Resolve, the multinational coalition dedicated to militarily
defeating Da’esh in Iraq and Syria, include:

French Military Personnel are training Iraqi
Security Forces to defeat Da’esh
- Rafale fighters and Mirage 2000 fighter jets to
conduct air strikes in Iraq and Syria
- Atlantique 2 maritime patrol aircraft for
surveillance and intelligence-gathering
- Naval vessels in support of air and ground
efforts
