Syrian Democratic Forces Build Bridge
Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve
July 15, 2018 | 2:19
The Syrian Democratic Forces Engineer Support Unit construct their first roadway bridge in Jarniyah, Syria, July 14-15, 2018. The newly graduated 20-person platoon’s mission is to rebuild bridges in Syria that were destroyed prior to the liberation from ISIS. The SDF Engineer Support Unit is the first of six future engineering units that will each focus on different aspects of rebuilding and stabilizing critical infrastructure. Prior to graduation, the SDF worked alongside Coalition partners to complete a practice bridge exercise before taking the lead in the two-day completion of the Kharbet Al Shafrat Bridge.
