they are not foreign at all. They may be foreigners in the countries where they
are going to. But in reality they are our compatriots, our acquaintances, the
classmates of our kids, the guys and girls we see in our supermarkets. They are

The Kingdom of the Netherlands is an active partner in the
Global Coalition against Daesh. It provides air assets and military trainers to
Bagdad and Erbil, it participates in a number of Coalition Working Groups, and
co-leads the Working Group on Foreign Terrorist Fighters together with Turkey
and Morocco.
The Netherlands contributes to Combined Joint Task Force –
Operation Inherent Resolve, the multinational coalition dedicated to militarily
defeating Daesh in Iraq and Syria, as follows:

- F-16s conducting airstrikes in Iraq and Syria
