Currently, Italy is committed with its military in the
Operation “Prima Parthica” with Air, Naval and Ground assets and the deployment
of personnel in Iraq, Kuwait, Barhain, Qatar, UAE and USA performing training,
Advice & Assist and staff level activities within the multinational
coalition.
Italy contributes to Combined Joint Task Force – Operation
Inherent Resolve, the multinational coalition dedicated to militarily defeating
the so-called Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Iraq and Syria as
follows;

Units including Force Protection (FP),
refuellers, and flight crews for transportation and delivery of humanitarian
aid.
- Italian personnel contributed with the purpose
of monitoring and training Preshmerga and Iraqi security forces.
- Refueling aircraft and multiple reconnaissance
and surveillance aircraft
