Southwest Asia - Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve conducted 133 strikes this week, 110 strikes in Iraq and 23 strikes in Syria from Mar. 26 - Apr. 01, 2016. - This week's strikes supported Iraqi Security Forces moving near the outskirts of Hit. - ISF supported by the Coalition have kicked off a new offensive in the Tigris River Valley called Operation Valley Wolf. It is a shaping operation that will help set the conditions for the eventual ground assault to retake Mosul. - In Syria, 13 Coalition strikes near Mar'a supported opposition forces continuing to engage ISIL along the Mar'a line.
