Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve conducted 115 strikes this week, 82 strikes in Iraq and 33 strikes in Syria from May 14th - May 20th, 2016.

- On May 14th, near Mar’a, one strike struck an ISIL tactical unit and destroyed an ISIL fighting position.

- On May 17th, near Fallujah, two strikes struck two separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed two ISIL fighting positions, an ISIL weapons cache, an ISIL mortar system, and an ISIL tunnel.

- And on May 20th, near Mosul, four strikes struck four separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed an ISIL fighting position, two ISIL assembly areas, three ISIL vehicles, an ISIL supply cache, an ISIL weapons cache, and an ISIL rocket rail.

Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve conducted 150 strikes this week, 117 strikes in Iraq and 33 strikes in Syria from May 21st - May 27th, 2016.

- On May 21st, near Mar’a, Syria two strikes struck an ISIL command and control node and destroyed an ISIL mortar system.

- On May 24th, near Mosul, Iraq three strikes struck two separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed an ISIL fighting position, an ISIL vehicle, three ISIL assembly areas, three ISIL bed down locations, and an ISIL tunnel and suppressed an ISIL mortar position.

- On May 27th, near Fallujah, Iraq four strikes struck two separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed three ISIL vehicles and an ISIL tunnel entrance.

Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve conducted 207 strikes this week, 126 strikes in Iraq and 81 strikes in Syria from May 28th - June 3rd, 2016.

- On May 28th, near Manbij, Syria, four strikes destroyed 11 ISIL fighting positions and an ISIL ammunitions facility and an ISIL heavy machine gun.

- On May 31st, near Fallujah, Iraq, four strikes struck three separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed seven ISIL fighting positions, three ISIL vehicles, five ISIL heavy machine guns, two ISIL bunkers, three ISIL weapons caches, and an ISIL IED and suppressed an ISIL tactical unit and denied ISIL access to terrain.

- On June 3rd, near Mosul, Iraq, five strikes struck three separate ISIL tactical units and an ISIL staging area and destroyed two ISIL assembly areas and suppressed an ISIL mortar position.

Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve conducted 141 strikes this week, 99 strikes in Iraq and 42 strikes in Syria from May 7th - May 13th, 2016.

- On May 7th, near Mar’a, Syria, three strikes struck three separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed three ISIL fighting positions.

- On May 10th, near Fallujah, Iraq, two strikes destroyed an ISIL vehicle borne improvised explosive device (VBIED), two ISIL tunnel systems, and an ISIL weapons cache.

- And on May 13th, near Ar Rutbah, Iraq, four strikes struck an ISIL tactical unit, an ISIL headquarters, an ISIL vehicle borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) facility, and an ISIL staging facility.

United Arab Emirates is part of a #Coalition of more than 60 international partners that has united to assist and support the Iraqi Secirity Forces to degrade and defeat Daesh. This unity between Coalition partners has contributed to Iraq's significant progress in halting Daesh's momentum and, in some places, reversing it.

Training at the building partner capacity sites is an integral part of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve’s multinational effort to train Iraqi Security Force personnel to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

This week's building partner capacity graphic features photos of British coalition partners demonstrating medical techniques during training at Camp Taji, Iraq; and Americans help further Iraqi’s knowledge of the M1 Abrams tank at the Besmaya Range Complex, Iraq.

By enabling Iraqi Security Forces through advise and assist, and building partner capacity missions, the Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve’s multinational coalition is helping the Government of Iraq to set the conditions to defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant.

U.S. and coalition military forces continued to attack Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant terrorists in Iraq May 6, Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve.
