Southwest Asia - Weekly strike update: Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve conducted 171 strikes this week, 115 strikes in Iraq and 56 strikes in Syria from Jan. 9 - Jan. 15. This week's strikes supported Iraqi Security Forces in multiple cities, to include: - 40 strikes near ‪‎Mosul‬ as a Daesh bulk cash distribution site goes up in flames. - 28 strikes near ‪‎Ramadi‬ as the city continues to get cleared of Daesh terrorists by Counter Terrorist Service forces through the south and east of the city center. In Syria: - Coalition aircraft struck 16 Daesh-used skid mounted gas and oil separation plants near Dayr Az Zawr.
