SOUTHWEST ASIA - Sixty Iraqi policemen graduated the Italian Carabinieri Advanced Police Course in Baghdad bringing the total trained to 17,601. Also, members of the Latvian Armed Forces (Latvijas armija ) joined the Danish (Forsvaret) contingency who are training Iraqi Security Forces at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq. This week's building partner capacity update features photos of Iraqi soldiers participating in a building clearance training exercise at Camp Taji, Iraq, and Iraqi police conducting a training exercise supervised by Italian Carabinieri. Training at the building partner capacity sites is an integral part of Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve’s multinational effort to train Iraqi Security Force personnel to defeat the Daesh (an Arabic acronym for ISIL).
