WEEKLY STRIKE UPDATE: Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve conducted 127 strikes this week, 102 strikes in Iraq and 25 strikes in Syria from Mar. 12 - Mar. 18, 2016.

- This week's strikes supported Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) north of Ramadi as they counterattacked ISIL fighters that briefly seized a police station in Hamdia, resulting in close to 50 ISIL fighters killed in the process. 

- As part of Operation Desert Lynx, the Coalition worked with the ISF to drop leaflets over villages along the Euphrates River, with the announcement, "Counterterrorism services are close." The ISF captures 159 ISIL fighters that tried to flee with the local residents. 

- In Syria, opposition forces continue to fight ISIL fighters along the Mar'a line. The opposition fighters have seized multiple villages and repelled ISIL attacks in other villages.
