Weekly Strike Update

Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve conducted 141 strikes this week, 99 strikes in Iraq and 42 strikes in Syria from May 7th - May 13th, 2016.

- On May 7th, near Mar’a, Syria, three strikes struck three separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed three ISIL fighting positions.

- On May 10th, near Fallujah, Iraq, two strikes destroyed an ISIL vehicle borne improvised explosive device (VBIED), two ISIL tunnel systems, and an ISIL weapons cache.

- And on May 13th, near Ar Rutbah, Iraq, four strikes struck an ISIL tactical unit, an ISIL headquarters, an ISIL vehicle borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) facility, and an ISIL staging facility.
