The Netherlands is involved in training Iraqi and Kurdish Peshmerga forces. They coordinate with their German and Norwegian training partners in Erbil, Iraq and the United States in Baghdad. In addition, the Netherlands provides aircraft and personnel to the aerial combat mission in Iraq.

 The Netherlands is part of a #Coalition of more than 60 international partners that has united to assist and support the Iraqi Security Forces to degrade and defeat Daesh. This unity between coalition partners has contributed to Iraq’s significant progress in halting Daesh's momentum and in some places reversing it.

Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve conducted 174 strikes this week, 128 strikes in Iraq and 46 strikes in Syria from Apr. 2 - Apr. 8, 2016.

- On April 2nd near Mar’a, Syria, two strikes struck a large ISIL tactical unit and destroyed an ISIL vehicle borne improvised explosive device (VBIED). 

 - On April 5th near Hit, Iraq, two strikes struck a large ISIL tactical unit and destroyed six ISIL fighting positions, six ISIL boats, two ISIL vehicles, an ISIL supply cache, an ISIL medium machine gun, and three ISIL vehicle borne improvised explosive devices (VBIED) and denied ISIL access to terrain.

 - And on April 8th, near Mosul, Iraq three strikes struck an ISIL tactical unit and an ISIL financial storage center and destroyed three ISIL rocket rails.

Kuwait is part of a #Coalition of more than 60 international partners that has united to assist and support the Iraqi Secirity Forces to degrade and defeat Daesh. This unity between Coalition partners has contributed to Iraq's significant progress in halting Daesh's momentum and, in some places, reversing it.

Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve conducted 140 strikes this week, 115 strikes in Iraq and 25 strikes in Syria from Apr. 9 - Apr. 15, 2016.

 - On April 9th near Ar Raqqah, Syria, one strike destroyed two ISIL oil pump jacks. 

 - On April 12th near near Mosul, Iraq, two strikes struck two separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed four ISIL assembly areas and an ISIL fighting position. 

- And on April 15th, near Mar’a, Syria, three strikes struck three separate ISIL tactical units and destroyed two ISIL fighting positions.
