- Du 04 mai au 22 juin 2019, au sein de la deuxième école de l’ICTS (Iraki Counter Terrorism Service), se déroule le stage C-IED (Counter IED Course). Ce dernier est à dominante génie. Les 33 participants seront encadrés par 4 instructeurs irakiens eux-mêmes mentorés par 8 instructeurs Français de la Task Force Narvik issus du 6° RG. Ce stage d’une durée de 8 semaines sera organisé de la manière suivante :
- Les cinq premières semaines (SEARCH COURSE SURVIVABILTY) sont centrées sur l’évolution des sapeurs sous la menace IED et MUNEX où sont mises en pratique les techniques de recherche, de protection et de sauvegarde ainsi que sur la destruction d’un certain type d’IED.
-Les trois dernières semaines (SAPPER COURSE) sont centrées sur la qualification à l’emploi d’explosif dans le cadre de bréchage de bâtiments ou de destruction de munitions et d’IED.

- Lancée le 19 septembre 2014, l'opération Chammal est le nom donné au volet français de l'opération interalliée Inherent Resolve (OIR) rassemblant plus de 60 nations.
A la demande du gouvernement irakien et en coordination avec les alliés de la France présents dans la région, elle vise à apporter un soutien militaire aux forces locales engagées dans le combat contre Daesh sur leur territoire.
Le 08 septembre 2015, sur décision du président de la République et face à la menace terroriste pesant sur la France, la zone d'intervention de l'opération Chammal est étendue à la Syrie, afin de pouvoir frapper également les centres depuis lesquels Daesh planifie et organise ses attaques.
